Random generation can be wild and unpredictable. Sometimes the results are simply too weird. Sometimes they are just half-baked. All of these generators have potential, but I'm not quite sure what to do with them.
Markov chain generator
A Markov chain is a simple algorithm for generating content that looks like the content you give it as input. It works particularly well on linear things like words and music.
For this example, I have given the list of all the first names to a Markov chain algorithm. The algorithm scanned through all those first names and came up with rules for how to build more names that sound similar to the original set.
Where should these potions go? Should they be part of the Item generator? Should there be a whole new section called "Weird Science"? Perhaps if we sample the potions, we will feel inspired.
